Realizing the need to record the events of the War, the SC Division United Daughters of the Confederacy began the collection of firsthand wartime accounts from local soldiers who fought the War, the soldiers’ families and citizens who managed the home front. Included are letters, newspaper accounts, rosters, CSA grave locations, etc.
